Gerald L. Morgan
Co-founder, Sr. Vice President, CTO, Inc.

Gerald Morgan has worked in start-ups, high-growth and Fortune 100 companies. His experience spans nearly 20 years and he's held positions from programmer through CTO.

Gerald co-founded in March 1998. raised more than $90M dollars in venture funding and is one of only a few pure play ecommerce companies to survive the dot com implosion.

From the beginning Gerald led the Technology organization at Cooking, but he also led the Production, Distribution and Customer Service departments for several years. has become the ecommerce leader in the Kitchen house wares market boasting more than 100,000 items in their assortment. also offers both content and community functionality and has a healthy and expanding advertising business.

In 2005 began powering ecommerce, fulfillment and customer service for large household brand names. They currently support and run sites for; Starbucks, Food Network, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, and Rachael Ray among others.

Gerald developed the vision and led the team responsible for the development of the platform and systems to support these initiatives.

In 2001 Gerald's team worked in a consulting engagement with the founders of, Toby Lenk (of, Sean Spector and Jung Suh. They helped to develop the business model, systems, processes and infrastructure that has enabled to become the leader in the video game rental market.

Prior to Gerald was with The Disney Store, Inc., a division of The Walt Disney Company

During his tenure he was responsible for the leadership of the Store Systems team that was responsible for more than 743 stores, processing more than 350,000 transactions per day with annual revenues of more than 1 billion dollars. Gerald and his team created a unified software platform that ran in all of the stores, provided unique functionality where required and operated in 11 countries in 9 different languanges.

Gerald was also responsible for creating cross-functional teams to open new countries; including the set up regional offices, distribution centers and the first stores, regional offices and distribution centers in 10 countries.

Prior to The Disney Store, Inc.

Gerald was with Builder's Emporium where he held multiple roles of increasing responsibility. He worked as an Assistant Store Manager, District Loss Prevention Manager, Help Desk Manager and Programmer/Analyst.

Gerald attended California Polytechnic University, Pomona majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Lit/Philosophy
He was also appointed to the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD
